You Can Now Play Tattooed Audio Recordings Through Your Phone’s Speakers

The four-person-team of a new startup called Skin Motion is seeking to present something unique to the world that they are describing as “tattoos brought to life”. Believe it or not, that smartphone camera in your pocket has a variety of uses beyond facilitating the estimated one million plus selfies taken every day. Perhaps you’ve used yours before to scan a barcode or QR code, but Skin Motion is developing an app that will scan a sound wave tattooed on your skin.

It’ll take you a minute to consider all the possibilities this opens up. Think of a recorded message from your child or spouse. Or as someone such as myself who has an insatiable obsession with music, I’m thinking of all sorts of potential situations.

Watch the video below to see it in action and you can find more info at www.skinmotion.com.
