As someone who was once foolish enough to call myself an atheist, Lee Strobel is a legend of sorts. Not for anything he did, but simply for getting out of the way and allowing God to invade his life. The man has a law degree from Yale, which eventually led him into the position of investigative journalist for the Chicago Tribune. Much to his chagrin, his wife became a devout follower of Christ and the frustration of being married to her eventually led Lee to investigate his most important case yet—the results of which had eternal consequences.
I’m sure hindsight is surreal as they approach the release of a full feature film about it. Based on Strobel’s bestselling book The Case for Christ, it is sure to be a compelling look at the truth of God’s existence and how He can personally move within the most unlikeliest of circumstances. Mike Vogel and Erika Christensen play Strobel and his wife Leslie, while the film also features Faye Dunaway as skeptic Dr. Roberta Walters, and Robert Forster as Strobel’s father Walter. Watch the trailer below and mark your calendars for the release on April 7th.
