Video: How the Internet of the Future Will Close Us off Even More

The other day I posted an infographic on Instagram that pointed out how apps and social networks are copying each other’s features:

In the heated competition for attention and eyeballs, tech companies are using whatever means they can to get people to spend time on their app or use their service. Even if that means jacking their feature ideas from the competition. But these companies aren’t racing aimlessly. If you want to know some of the next cool technologies that are gonna change our digital lives in pretty significant ways, they are Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented/Virtual Reality (AR/VR), The Internet of Things (IoT), and chatbots. Yes, chatbots. And China has given us a glimpse into what the biggest social network companies are racing towards and what the internet of the not-so-distant future could look like for many of us. Watch the video and let us know what you think. Are you looking forward to the Internet of the future?
