Twitter Ignores “Hate Tweets” so Man Spray Paints Them in Front of Their Headquarters

Over the past six months, author and comedian Shahak Shapira has reported about 300 hate tweets on Twitter but most of the reports have gone ignored so he decided to take action. He chose about 30 tweets that were racist, hate-filled, and contained threats of violence and sprayed the messages in chalk in front of Twitter’s office headquarters.

By contrast, Shapira reported about 150 posts to Facebook, of which approximately 80% were removed.

What do you think about Shahak Shapira’s approach to Twitter ignoring tweets that violate their own guidelines? Let us know in the comments below.
