Last night, Justin Bieber offered a message of hope to the One Love Manchester benefit concert attendees and really, to the world,
“God is good in the midst of the darkness. God is good in the midst of the evil,” Bieber told the massive crowd.
“God is in the midst no matter what’s happening in the world, God is in the midst, and He loves you and He’s here for you,” he said.
“I just want to take this moment to honor the people that were lost, that were taken. We love you so much. To the families, we love you so much,” he said. “Put both hands up to honor those people right now. Everybody say, ‘We honor you. We love you.'”
The crowd thundered back, “We honor you, we love you!”
The British nation is still reeling after a series of attacks. On May 22nd, 22 people were killed at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester in what is being called a “suicide bombing”. On Saturday, a van plowed into pedestrians on London Bridge, then its occupants jumped out and began stabbing people. In total, 7 people were killed and 48 injured.
Grande returned to the stage in Manchester last night to offer comfort to the grieving city. The concert, which had been planned and scheduled before the London attack, featured other artists such as Katy Perry and Justin Bieber.
Bieber has become increasingly more bold in his faith and recently posted the following declaration on his Instagram:
Kudos to Justin for using his platform to shine light on and bring glory to God. We pray that his faith continues to grow.
