I don’t post videos like this often because it’s super easy for someone to say that the video is cherry picking. But I went against that convention with this post for a couple of reasons—one being that President Obama has never said the kinds of things about his daughters that president-elect Trump has about his, and because I don’t believe any father should speak about his daughter in the manner that Trump has, whether in jest or not.
I’m praying for our newly elected president as well as our nation, but that does not mean that a righteous standard should not be upheld and acknowledged. Politics aside, there is a distinction between the character of these two men from each other. Donald Trump has told Howard Stern it was perfectly fine to refer to his daughter as a “nice piece of a**” on the Howard Stern Show. Years ago when Bill Clinton had his scandals, many conservatives claimed that the conduct of the president would tear at the moral fabric of society. Some of those same Christian conservatives have since changed their tune.
For the record, I’m inclined to believe that’s true. It’s why I suspect John rebuked Herod for all the evil things that Herod had done. Heck, on “Who Knew”, Eminem even rapped,
“I’m sorry, there must be a mix-up/
You want me to fix up lyrics while the President gets his d**k sucked?/
[*ewwww*] F**k that, take drugs, rape sluts/
Make fun of gay clubs, men who wear make-up”
So what are your thoughts? Are there any circumstances under which president elect Trump’s comments about his daughter are acceptable? Let us know in the comments. h/t Mic.
