Christian Hymn Knocks Adele Out of the iTunes Top Spot

The Voice 2015 contestant Jordan Smith wowed the judges and the audience this week singing a rendition of the Christian hymn, “Great is Thy Faithfulness”. Smith’s version of the old spiritual, became the first song to knock Adele’s “Hello” out f the number one spot since its October 20 release.

Before performing, the Team Adam Levine contestant became emotional discussing his commitment to God. “This performance, it’s a chance to show who I really am,” said Smith. Pharrell Williams who’s a rival coach on the show said, “Dude, you had me standing up in the middle of the song… I think everybody needs to go to iTunes right now. I don’t care about the vote. Go to iTunes right now and buy this song from this guy right now.” Glory be to God. Congrats Jordan!
